Welcome Back! 2019-2020

Welcome to the 2019-2020 school year!


Students in all classes this week will be introduced to the classroom, provided with behavior expectations for the upcoming school year, and given a syllabus detailing classroom policies and topics to be covered in class. All students will need a folder, pencil, and highlighter everyday in class in order to be as successful as possible.


English 7
We will start the week with a brief get-to-know-you activity, and then spend two days reviewing classroom procedures, rules, behavior expectations, and the syllabus. The end of the week will be dedicated to students reading Letters of Advice written for them by last year's 7th grade class.

Homework
Return signed behavior contract to me by Tuesday, September 3rd.
The behavior contract will be distributed on Tuesday, 8/27.


English 8
We will start the week with a brief get-to-know-you activity, and then spend two days reviewing classroom procedures, rules, behavior expectations, and the syllabus. On Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday, students will complete a review of punctuation marks they will be expected to use throughout the school year. A quiz on these punctuation marks is scheduled for mid-week next week.
