This week students in 7th grade will be focusing on prepositions and prepositional phrases. This will be tied into identifying subjects and verbs and a quiz will be administered at the end of the mini-unit. Students in 8th grade will be finishing their unit on prepositions and moving on to vocabulary unit 4 on page 343 of the textbook.
English 7
On Monday students will submit their essays and complete day 1 of the week 7 language bellringer. This bellringer will be due on Friday and will be worth 20 points. Essays will be accepted Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday with a late penalty. No essays will be accepted after Thursday.
For the remainder of the week, students will practice prepositions. We will take notes and practice on Tuesday and Wednesday. On Thursday we will review. On Friday we will have a quiz on prepositions. This quiz will include subjects and verbs.
