Week of January 2nd

Welcome to 2019! I'm eager to make this year the best yet in our classroom. 

English 7
Students in English 7 will be reviewing sentence structure by identifying and correcting fragment and run-on sentences. On Wednesday, we will take notes on sentences, fragments, and run-ons and complete a quick practice exercise. On Thursday, we will continue with two additional practice exercises and finish out the week by putting a capstone on run-ons and fragments with a final assessment.

Thursday: complete any remaining work in the run-ons/fragments packet

English 8
Students in English 8 will finish their work with subject/verb agreement this week. Students will spend Wednesday and Thursday completing a review packet that contains all rules for subject-verb agreement. The completed packet will serve as a study guide for a subject/verb agreement quiz. The quiz will be given on Friday, January 4th.
