Week of 1/2/20

Welcome back to school after our winter break and happy 2020! We have two days this week to wrap up all loose ends from before our holiday break. For seventh grade, this means finishing our research reports and works cited pages. Research reports are due Monday, January 6th. For eighth grade, we will review prepositions and prepositional phrases and have a short quiz on them on Monday, January 6th.

English 7

Students will have Thursday to finish typing their research reports. All students should have 5 paragraphs typed and checked by the end of their class on Thursday. Students should see me for a pass to go to the library during their AC prep if they do not have 5 paragraphs done at this time.

On Friday, we will create the Works Cited page for our research reports. The class will do this together. Students will then have the opportunity to print their research report and works cited at the end of class on Friday as long as they are done typing.

Thursday: finish typing all 5 paragraphs for research report

Friday: research report and works cited is due 1/6/20

English 8

Students will finish practice with preposition on Thursday and Friday. Students should use the Preposition Grammar Party packet as a study guide. Students will have a quiz on prepositions (including subjects and verbs) on Monday, 1/6/20.
