Week of April 24th

Grades 7 and 8 will take the Science PSSAs this week, which means schedule changes are eminent! Freshman and Juniors will not be taking the Science PSSAs. Periods 1, 3 and 4, should report to Mr. Wagner's room, 805, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday. 

PSSA English 7 and 8
This week you will be working on your novel projects. This will be a major assignment with all of the components totaling approximately 60 points. You will be given two class periods to work on the project and you will then have the weekend to complete any remaining work at home. Please have your project completed by the specified due date, either May 1st (Day A) or May 2nd (Day B).

Complete novel project by next week.


English 9
This week you will read Act 2 of Romeo and Juliet. You will keep the parts assigned to you for Act 1. We will review Act 2 in class on Friday and you should prepare for a quiz on this act on Monday.

English 7
This week you will be taking your Science PSSAs and the schedule will be adjusted accordingly. We will be working with the short story "He-y, Come on Ou-t!" this week. Focusing on comprehension, irony, special punctuation and theme.

English 11
This week we will finish our work with the short story "The Leap". We will look closely at the structure of the story as well as its themes. You should expect to take a quiz on "The Leap" on Thursday. 

NOTE: I will be administering PSSAs and will not be teaching this class on Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday. To help you best prepare for you quiz, please make time to see me in school or e-mail me any questions you might have. Don't wait until Thursday morning to ask me questions about the short story. Please prepare early!

Due to my absence from class, the quiz will not be administered on Friday. Please be prepared to take a quiz on "The Leap" on Friday.
