This week you will be finishing your first-read of the short story "Dark They Were, And Golden-Eyed." We will have a class discussion after we finish reading that will focus on characters, plot and symbols. I have thoroughly been enjoy our discussions on this short story so far and can't wait to see how you feel about the ending of this story!
Thursday and Friday you will have the opportunity to listen to the radio play version of this short story. For this activity, you are allowed to bring an electronic device to class along with headphones. To access the assignment you will need to have accepted my invitation to join our Google Classroom. This week we are going to finish our unit on Argumentative/Persuasive Writing. We will have a discussion on Monday based on our essential question: When is it right to take a stand?
After we finish our discussion, we will be moving to our next mode of writing, Narrative Writing. You will receive notes on this type of writing for the remainder of this week. Next week you will begin writing your papers. Your papers will be due Monday, February 19th.
