This week students will be working toward their second marking period writing assignment. Students in 7th grade will be learning strategies for evaluating internet sources in preparation for their research paper. Students in 8th grade will be reading, outlining, and typing their persuasive essays. On Thursday, all students will be viewing a performance of Macbeth during their morning classes.
English 7
On Monday students will receive notes on the 4 criteria for evaluating an internet source: author, accuracy, purpose, and presentation. On Tuesday and Wednesday, students will have to create a poster to visually represent this information. On Thursday, most students will miss class for Macbeth. On Friday, students will evaluate an assigned website. Next Monday, students will present their poster to the class.

English 8
On Monday, students will outline their persuasive essays. Students cannot begin their outline until they have read and annotated their assigned articles. On Tuesday, students will begin typing their essays and they will continue typing through Friday. Next week, students will need to finish and print their essays. The essays are due on 11/27/19.
