This week seventh grade students will review and check their work for "The Run." Eighth grade students will continue on their course to mastering nouns, verbs, subjects, and predicates.
English 7
Students will complete the Week 4 Paragraph Bellringer this week. It will be collected on Thursday and be worth 20 points.
On Monday, we will review "The Run" part 1. It will be graded on completion. On Tuesday, we will review "The Run" parts 2 and 3. Students should be aware that these will be graded both on completion and correctness.
Wednesday and Thursday, we will begin our next vocabulary unit, unit 2 (pg. 119). Wednesday we will complete definitions and Thursday we will discuss related words. On Friday we will practice the vocabulary for a quiz on Monday.
Homework
Monday: correct/complete "The Run" parts 2 and 3 as necessary
Tuesday
Wednesday: ensure bellringers for Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday are complete
Thursday
Friday: study vocabulary unit 2, page 119 of the textbook
English 8
Students will complete the Week 4 Paragraph Bellringer this week. It will be collected on Thursday and be worth 20 points.
On Monday, we will review "Nighttime in Texas" from Friday.
On Tuesday, we will redo the graded verb assignment for additional practice with nouns/subjects and verbs/predicates.
On Wednesday, we go through each section of the worksheet and correct them together.
On Thursday, we will complete a review sheet to prepare for the re-take on Friday.
On Friday, we re-do the worksheet. The scores from Tuesday and Friday will be averaged together for your grade in the gradebook.
