Week of April 15th

This week 7th and 8th grade students will complete the English Language Arts PSSA. During testing, students will miss periods 1, 2, and 3. No homework will be assigned this week to allow students ample time to prepare and rest before PSSA testing.

Students will complete a paragraph bellringer this week. Students in period 8 will complete one a day as usual. Students in period 1, 2, and 3 will complete the bellringers during class on Thursday.

Students will complete a paragraph bellringer this week. All 8th grade classes will have a normal class period this week, so students will complete one each day as usual. On Monday, students will complete a short subject-verb agreement exercise taken from the article "Pierre the Penguin Dons a Wetsuit to Keep Warm" which can be read at this link: https://www.dailymail.co.uk/sciencetech/article-1016977/Pierre-penguin-dons-wetsuit-warm.html

On Wednesday, students will identify the parts of a story. We will focus on the necessity of conflict to create an entertaining story. Students' creative stories from Tuesday will be used as examples and revised.
